BIAA HOME : Remembering Joshua Cantor, PhD

Remembering Joshua Cantor, PhD

The Brain Injury Association of New York State mourns the loss of colleague and friend Joshua Cantor, Ph.D., ABPP, who died Monday morning. A popular and frequent presenter at Association programs, Dr. Cantor was  brilliant, kind, confident and humble, sharp and funny. He was a leader, a champion for people with Traumatic Brain Injury, a strong supporter of the Association, and a mentor who was also insatiably curious and eager to learn. As one of his patients so aptly just said, “you just don’t find all these things in one person.” He was simply the best, and he will be so deeply missed by us all.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday September 15, 2013 at 2;30pm at Temple Beth Elohim (274 Garfield Place, Brooklyn, New York, 11215). In lieu of flowers the Dr. Cantor’s family requests that donations be made to the Joshua Cantor Trust Fund, c/o The Rehabilitation Medicine Department, 3 East 101st Street, New York, NY 10029. The fund will be used to provide continued support to Dr. Cantor's family.
