About BIANYS
The Brain Injury Association of New York State (BIANYS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for individuals with brain injury and their families. Since its founding in 1982, BIANYS has worked to improve outcomes and quality of life through trusted resources, community connections, and a strong voice for change.
BIANYS provides a wide range of programs and services, including a toll-free Helpline, support groups and chapters, prevention and education initiatives, and professional development opportunities. Through its work across communities and systems of care, BIANYS also plays an important role in advancing public policy at the local, state, and federal levels to better serve the brain injury community.
