An accurate functional assessment is the foundation for developing an effective behavior
intervention plan. Presenter Lynda Rosner, MS, TSHH, BCBA, NYSLBA, describes how to understand behavior and behavioral interventions in this program. The presentation covers all of the essential elements of a functional behavior assessment (FBA) and behavior intervention plan(BIP). Participants will learn how to systematically analyze the environment to determine the function of difficult behaviors and then use this information to create an effective behavior plan.

- Understand the four functions of behavior
- Understand the difference between reinforcement and punishment
- Understand how to use the information from the FBA to write an effective behavior plan
