This webinar is designed to equip caregivers with essential knowledge and strategies to ensure comprehensive\, effective care for their loved ones. \nThis session will explore: \n\nBuilding a Coordinated Care Plan\nEvaluating Insurance Options\nExploring Non-Traditional Treatments\n\nWhile tailored for caregivers\, this session will also provide valuable insights for patients and healthcare professionals looking to improve care coordination and outcomes. \nThis webinar is free to attend. However\, if you’d like to receive CEUS or a certificate of completion\, there will be a $10 fee. \nDuring this session\, the thoughts and opinions expressed are those of the presenter and do not reflect the opinions and beliefs of the Brain Injury Association of New York State. \nAbout the presenter: \nDaniel Cohen\, LCSW-R\, is a social worker and therapist with 30 years of experience serving in various roles. He currently works within the Corning-Painted Post School District\, providing critical support to students and families. \nIn 2022\, Daniel and his wife were seriously injured after being struck by a truck\, an event that profoundly shaped his personal and professional journey. His wife sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI)\, leading him to navigate the complexities of recovery\, caregiving\, and the healthcare system firsthand. \nDrawing from both his professional expertise and lived experience\, Daniel now speaks and teaches about the challenges of brain injury\, caregiving\, and resilience.
