Supporting Students in the Classroom: Return to Learn

This webinar will allow educators to gain an understanding of the struggles a student may face after sustaining a concussion. Educators will learn about the science of concussions including the possible symptoms, recovery time frames and some barriers that could prolong symptoms. Additionally, concrete examples of adjustments and accommodations that can be made in the classroom to help concussed students return to learning will be presented. There will also be information on the value of a Concussion Management Team and best practices for creating one.

This free session is presented by Michelle R, Kellen, M.Ed. Professional Development Manager.

The Brain Injury Association of New York State is recognized by the New York State Education Department of the Professions as an approved provider of continuing education for the following professions:  Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists, CTLE, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy assistants and Licensed Psychologists
One CEU credit hour will be awarded upon successful completion of the webinar and evaluation.
