Professional Development Webinar Series: Implementing Early Caregiver Education into the Inpatient Brain Injury Program
The Sunnyview Rehabilitation Brain Injury Team prioritizes interdisciplinary early caregiver education to prepare families to care for their loved ones. This consists of in person or virtual education sessions and in person, hands-on training. Their goal is to give families and caregivers the tools and education they need to feel empowered to safely care for their loved one at home.
During this presentation, effective processes and timelines for implementing caregiver education will be explored, including communication techniques, examples of education handouts, and current evidence for best practice.
