BRAIN INJURY ASSOCIATION OF NEW YORK STATE NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

ALBANY, N.Y.: December 7, 2016 – The Brain Injury Association of New York State (BIANYS) announced today the appointment of Kara Granato as Director of Communications. In her role, Granato will oversee the marketing and communications strategy for the agency.

Granato brings an extensive background in non-profit communications having worked in the industry for nearly a decade. She analyzes the branding needs and works with internal teams to ensure that messaging and branding is cohesive. Her experience with event management, strategic communications, brand awareness initiatives, and the development of marketing strategies will also complement her work at the organization.

Granato earned her bachelor’s degree at the State University of New York at Oswego.

“Kara is a great addition to our team,” said Eileen Reardon, Executive Director of the Brain Injury Association of New York State. “Her experience and background will support the strategic growth of the organization.”
